MULTISTORY @ Farnham Guest Lecture
Dejan Mrdja, SYN Studio, Friday 21st October 5pm

We are pleased to announce a MULTISTORY guest lecture by Dejan Mrdja of SYN Studio

Friday 21st October 2016 // Lecture 5pm // Lecture Theatre W02, UCA Farnham

Studio SYN is a London-based critical practice operating in the fields of spatial design, art, research and education. The founding members Dejan Mrdja and Ursula Dimitriou met years ago during an experimental workshop in the industrial district of Antwerp, Belgium and have since stayed true to the initial position of their practice – modern and critically distant from the centres of popular opinions. Studio SYN remains consistent in taking on the projects that represent challenges to the knowledge already gained.

Ursula Dimitriou graduated from the National Technical University of Greece in Athens in 2000. She works as a free-lance architect and teaches architectural design and contextual studies at Central Saint Martins and Westminster University in London. She has an MA in Art and Architecture from UPC in Barcelona and a PhD focused on design and politics from the Department of Visual Cultures at Goldsmiths University of London.

Dejan Mrdja graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at University of Belgrade in 2006 and has been working in the UK since for a number of pioneering British practices. Dejan is a course leader at Interior Architecture and Design course at Writtle University College in Essex. His research interests lie with art installations, photography and drawing and is currently pursuing a Masters in Fine Arts at Central Saint Martins.
