MULTISTORY Guest Lecture Joe Morris Duggan Morris Architects Thurs 1st Dec 2016

We are pleased to announce a MULTISTORY guest lecture by Joe Morris, of Duggan Morris Architects.

Thursday 1st December 2016 // Drinks 5:30pm // Lecture 6pm // The Architecture Foyer.

Joe Morris, one half of London based Duggan Morris Architects is an architect, educator and critic at many UK Architecture schools, whilst also sitting on many Design Review Panels, lecturing widely across Europe and sitting on many architectural awards juries including the RIBA Awards and Manser Medal.

The work of Duggan Morris is underpinned by a strong conviction in the creative design process, not by desire to specialise in any single sector. Their approach is inclusive and collaborative, fostering creative dialogue with clients, consultant teams, statutory authorities, contractors and end users, as well as an active exchange between the disciplines of architecture, art, design and urbanism.

Their methodology demands a highly analytical approach, expertly manifested through a range of media as outcomes are explored. With that, their work illustrates an interest in the rapid evolution of information technology and modern methods of construction as well as the qualities of craft and tradition.

Thus, innovation in the office is cultivated through research into materials, construction techniques and the cultural setting of each project.
