We are pleased to announce a MULTISTORY* Guest lecture by

Jonas Žukauskas // Architect & Architectural Researcher

Thursday 12th October 2017 // Lecture 6pm // The Architecture Foyer

Jonas Žukauskas is an architect and architectural researcher.

The Baltic Material Assemblies:

Space tightly linked by shared interests, infrastructures and mineral resources provides ground for material culture that currently counterweights processes defragmenting European Project.

The talk will present architectures from the Baltic States where joint efforts to transform the built space and infrastructure seek to define new long term relationship between society and its environment.

In 2016, he co-curated the Baltic Pavilion at the 15th Venice Architecture Biennale. Jonas received his Diploma from the Architectural Association School of Architecture in 2014, prior to which he studied at London Metropolitan University and Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts. In 2012, together with Jurga Daubaraite and Ines Weizman, he co-curated the conversation series, Dissidence Through Architecture at Architektūros Fondas, Vilnius. Jonas worked for MVRDV architects in Rotterdam and Ben Adams architects in London.

This talk is in cooperation with the Lithuanian Culture Institute.
