MULTISTORY Guest Lecture You+Pea Architecture & Design Thurs 17th Nov 2016

We are pleased to announce a MULTISTORY guest lecture by You+Pea, an architectural design collaborative.

Thursday 17th November 2016 // Drinks 5:30pm // Lecture 6pm // The Architecture Foyer.

You+Pea is a young London-based architectural design collaborative, run by Sandra Youkhana and Luke Caspar Pearson. They believe in architecture as a creative platform for collaboration, celebrating the graphic and the immediate, designing architecture that demands attention through a vibrant conversation with its local context and further afield.

Their projects embrace the importance of communicating ideas through various media in project-specific ways, whether through hand drawing and modelling or contemporary fabrication technologies to produce imaginative and engaging forms of design for both user and context. Their work ranges from immersive drawings, public installations, participatory video games, interactive devices, architectural ‘toys’ and 1:1 experiments as methods of engagement.

They have a strong emphasis in research-led design and both currently teach at the Bartlett School of Architecture. Their academic agenda continues to compliment their approach to the realisation of design projects in practice, challenging the conventional media of the architect.
