MULTISTORY @ The Doodle Bar
Nigel Coates
Wednesday 12th March 7PM

CSA is pleased to announce the fifth in our new occasional series of MULTISTORY talks and events hosted by our Professor of Architecture, Will Alsop in London at The Doodle Bar, Battersea. These intimate monthly events compliment the weekly MULTISTORY series held at UCA Canterbury and provide an opportunity for students and staff to get together informally with alumni, friends and collaborators based in London.

Nigel Coates: ATMOS and the Art of Architecture

From Caffè Bongo in Tokyo to Glyndebourne in East Sussex, Nigel Coates’ spaces fuse architecture and design into a dynamic whole. In this talk he will unpack his approach to design as a framework for arousing the moment. Can the interplay between space and object activate spatial experience? In the end, he will argue, it is atmosphere that really counts.
