Analogue Drawings
in a Digital World

Eight weeks into lockdown, all CSA staff and students have turned into online teaching pros by now. Whilst practicing the art of screensharing, delivering Zoom lectures, conducting MS Teams meetings and project reviews as well as experimenting with other gadgets in the IT tool box, it turned out that – camera angle permitting – the good old analogue sketch still has a role to play. To the right, a few examples from the collections of online tutorial sketches by BA Architecture Stage 2 convenor Kristina Kotov and M.Arch course convenor Gabor Stark. The graphic quality (and legibility) may be questionable, but speed was of the utmost importance: online sessions fly by as quickly as tutorials in the studio.
